The book contains chapters and individual thoughts from the creations of the teachers of the Church about the Sacrament of Communion. Despite the fact that these works have already been repeatedly published and were available to all comers, gathered together, they more fully and variously reveal the most important theme of the Christian life. The reader will find answers to the following questions: the spiritual meaning of the Sacrament, the necessary conditions for accepting Christ, to whom it is forbidden to partake, and when the Sacrament of Communion happens to be saved, and when to condemnation and to eternal death, how often can one receive communion, whom to include in the memoirs of the proskomedia? The book is intended for those Christians who wish deeply, as far as possible for the human mind, to understand the meaning of the Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ, to commune "for the remission of sins and for eternal life."
