Constitutional Documents of Denmark, Norway and Sweden 1809-1849
<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><span lang="EN-US">The <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Constitutional Documents of <st1:country-region w:st="on"> Denmark </st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on"> Norway </st1:country-region> and <st1:country-region w:st="on"> <st1:place w:st="on"> Sweden </st1:place> </st1:country-region> </i>is published as volume six of the Europe Part of the series <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal"><span style="COLOR: black">Constitutions of the World from the late 18th Century to the Middle of the 19th Century</span></i>. This volume contains 32 of the most important constitutional documents from these three countries.<br> <br>The historian <strong>Thomas Riis </strong> has edited the three Danish constitutional texts from the period 1831 to 1849 included in this volume: the "Anordning angaaende Provindsial-Stænders indførelse i Danmark" (1831), the "Verfassungsentwurf für Dänemark, Schleswig und Holstein" (1848) and "Danmarks Riges Grundlov" (1849).<br> <br>A total of six constitutional documents were published in <st1:country-region w:st="on"> <st1:place w:st="on"> Norway </st1:place> </st1:country-region> during the relevant period, and each has been edited and annotated here by the jurist <strong>Dag Michalsen</strong> . Central to these documents are the two constitutions called "Kongeriget Norges Grundlov" from the year 1814 and the "Rigs-Act" of 1815, which have been edited along with their corresponding amendments.<br> <br>The Swedish section of the volume is edited by <strong>Magnus Isberg</strong> , research assistant at the Swedish parliament, and contains six constitutional texts; namely, the "Regerings-Form" of 1809, the "Riksdags-Ordning" of 1810, and both the first and second "Successions-Ordning" (1809/10) and "Tryckfrihets-Förordning" (1810/12), as well as the corresponding amendments to all of them up to 1844.<span style="COLOR: blue"> <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
