The book contains 181 tasks, 50 questions and 319 tests with answers and solutions. The material is mostly new, but includes the most successful tasks from previous editions. In general, these are not very difficult, but "creative" tasks that reveal different aspects of modern astronomy and astronautics and require creative thinking and understanding of the subject. Some of the questions were based on literary works, including science fiction novels by the Strugatsky brothers. Working with this book makes knowledge of astronomy and astronautics active, which is important for future scientists and engineers, as well as teachers of physics and astronomy.
