The work "In the Struggle for Truth" was written and published in Berlin in 1918 as a response to the accusations against Parvus of political provocations for the sake of personal enrichment, to the ban on returning to Russia and to Lenin's public rebuke that "the revolution cannot be made with dirty hands."
